William Oduol besides being the CEO of Gorilla MEA, is also a state officer and a Presidential appointee. He sits on the Board of Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency, a parastatal under the Ministry of Water and Sanitation in Kenya. The agency is the owner and custodian of water and sewerage assets/infrastructure across the eight counties in Nyanza and Rift Valley provinces of Kenya with an asset portfolio worth US $ 1 Billion. William was until December 2015 the CEO of Westcon Group?ÇÖs business (US $ 200 Million turnover) across Pan Emerging Africa. With more than 20 years?ÇÖ experience and a base in Nairobi, Kenya, he was responsible for providing guidance, strategy and direction for the Westcon and Comstor business units within the territory. William made extraordinary progress in growing the Africa business, driving high margin growth and making Westcon the fastest growing Value added distributor in the continent. He joined Westcon Africa in December 2008 from Microsoft where he was Head of Channel Business and OEM Lead for East and Southern Africa. He has extensive experience of the Global/African continent and that of management of People, vendors and partners, coupled with a solid operational finance, marketing and sales background. A Chartered Accountant and a Certified Secretary, William's prior employers include The Coca-Cola company, Microsoft and Safaricom among others. He holds a BSc. Degree and an MBA in Strategic Management. He recently completed his PhD in Leadership and Governance at JKUAT.
